The Old Medicine Cabinet — A Collection of Four Amber Bottles
There was a time when nearly every household kept a little collection of bottles tucked away in the medicine cabinet. Brown glass vessels holding curious remedies, tinctures and all manner of things believed to soothe what ailed us.
Found hidden in the banks of The Arroyo Grande Creek, this gathering of four amber glass bottles brings to mind those old cabinets, their wooden shelves lined with forgotten necessities and peculiar little preparations.
Perhaps they will find a new home among dried botanicals, garden clippings, or other small treasures collected throughout the seasons. Or perhaps they will sit quietly upon a shelf or windowsill, their warm brown glass catching the last of the afternoon light.
A little remembrance of the days when even the most ordinary household objects held a certain and timeless beauty.
Sold as a collection of four.
Condition:
This collection bears the marks of its previous life, with visible surface scratches, cloudy patches, weathering and remnants of age and use. Each bottle has its own little imperfections, gathered through the years and left just as they were found.
All four bottles are without their original closures. Please examine photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
Intended for decorative use only.
