There are few things more familiar to the landscape of our little coastal town than the eucalyptus trees. They stand along the old roads, at the edges of fields, and in great groves where the wind moves through their long, narrow leaves. Their sharp, medicinal fragrance has become as much a part of this place as the salt air drifting inland from the dunes.
I have always associated eucalyptus with the feeling of coming home. Its scent carries something of the land itself, of warm afternoons, damp earth, and the quiet shelter of old trees.
These eucalyptus bundles have been brought into the Ritual Room to be kept among the household herbs and burned with intention, filling a room with their familiar, earthy fragrance. A small reminder of the groves that have become so much a part of the landscape here on the Central Coast.
