Ethereal Visions Illuminated Tarot | Matt Hughes

$22.00

There is something of the old illustrated books in this deck, when art and mysticism were still so closely acquainted, and beauty was considered a worthy pursuit in itself.

Created and illustrated by Matt Hughes, Ethereal Visions draws upon the ornamental traditions of the Art Nouveau movement. Its figures are framed in flowering borders, delicate lines, and touches of gold, recalling the illustrated works of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

Within its eighty cards are the familiar figures of the tarot, accompanied by two additional Major Arcana cards. Each illustration has been drawn and colored by hand, with gold foil details that catch the light like the gilt edges of an old book.

A gently used deck for those drawn to symbolism, the study of the unconscious, and the quiet practice of seeking meaning through images.
